My Flight Path

I’m a certified flight instructor based in Northern Vermont with a passion for making aviation accessible, practical, and rewarding. I started Champlain Valley Flight Instruction with the goal of helping others experience the freedom and challenge of flight in a supportive, down-to-earth environment. Whether working with brand new students or seasoned pilots brushing up their skills, I focus on safe, personalized instruction rooted in real-world flying.

Community Involvement

Experimental Aircraft Association

Young Eagles and Eagle Flights

As an active member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), I regularly volunteer with the Young Eagles program, which introduces kids ages 8–17 to the world of aviation through free flights and educational outreach. These events are some of the most rewarding flying I do—offering young people their first experience in the air and sparking curiosity that could lead to a lifelong passion. I’m proud to support the next generation of pilots and help make aviation more inclusive, approachable, and inspiring for everyone.

For adults who are curious about flying but don’t know where to begin, Eagle Flights offer a welcoming introduction to general aviation. These flights, also organized through EAA, are designed for adults who may be considering flight training but want to learn more before committing. I’m proud to offer these experiences as a way to demystify the process, answer questions, and give people a chance to see what it’s like to be in the pilot’s seat—no pressure, just perspective.

Habitat for Aviation

Flying with young girls through the Habitat for Aviation initiative has been an incredibly meaningful part of my work as an instructor. This program focuses on introducing girls to the world of aviation through mentorship and hands-on flight experiences, helping them build confidence and see new possibilities for their future. By creating space for young women to step into the cockpit—often for the very first time—we're working to make aviation more inclusive, accessible, and inspiring. Watching their enthusiasm take flight is an experience I’m always grateful to be part of.

Support the mission of Habitat for Aviation by making a donation that helps fund flight experiences, mentorship programs, and outreach efforts for young girls interested in aviation. Your contribution directly supports the next generation of pilots and aviation professionals—opening doors, building confidence, and inspiring dreams. Every dollar helps bring more girls into the skies.
